Operations Area Performance Lead (APL)
The Operations Area Performance Lead (APL) have 24 hour, multiple shift accountability for the process results, and capability of a production area. The APLs align resource requirements based on production demands, quality, material, and cost with the Shift Managers and Leads. Primary responsibilities involve driving operational excellence and continuous improvement by establishing work standards and providing coaching and feedback. They are referred to as the functional expert in the area and can demonstrate leadership in the E&T (education & training), MSE (Mars Supply Excellence [TPM]), and FMOS (daily communication/escalation process) programs.
What are we looking for?
Education/Experience:
3+ years of experience in manufacturing.
Preferred, not required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply, or technical field of study
Preferred, not required: 1-3 years of experience operating in a TPM/technical, manufacturing environment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience leading change and situational leadership
Engages and motivates others
Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, coaching and training skills
Proficient in MS Office
Competencies:

What will be your key responsibilities?
Develops the 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability, in partnership with the Triad.
Leads the Daily CP2/3 connection point meetings.
Owns all Daily Management Systems (DMSs) execution and leads the area in Cleaning – Inspect – Lubricate (CIL), Centerlines (CLs), and Abnormality Handling (defect management) DMS’s.
Expected to continuously improve our CILs and Center lines throughout for the assets in their respective area.
Executes monthly review accountability of Area Master Plans and results. Anticipates change and develops plans to effectively implement changes.
Develops the Area Loss Analysis, with the FI Specialist. Losses including: downtime, waste, and assets not running to their expected rates.
Provides on the floor coaching of Leads and Associates, across all shifts.
Drives Loss Elimination for their area.
Provides Skill Development/Technical Mastery/Coaching and Training.
Demonstrates strong decision making and accepts responsibility for those decisions and accountability for achieving process results and delivering on commitments.
Ensures proper execution of On-the-Job Training and operating procedures, in partnership with the E&T Pillar
