At Royal Canin, a leading brand of Mars Petcare, we have a clear mission: Make a Better World for Pets. To make this vision a reality, we partner with the leading pet specialty retailers in the BeNeLux market. And now, we’re looking for a Junior Key Account Manager to strengthen our team and help us shape the future with accounts like Aveve, Horta and Poils & Plumes.

As Junior KAM, you will be part of the BeNeLux Pet Specialty Retail Sales team, which is embedded in the Royal Canin West Europe cluster. This means you’ll be surrounded by experienced colleagues, exposed to best practices, and given the tools to accelerate your development.

This role is designed as a feeder position into the Senior Key Account Manager role in around 3 years. If you bring the right potential and ambition, this is your chance to grow into more senior and even managerial roles within Mars.

What are we looking for?

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related fields; Master’s preferred

  • Early career experience – 1–3 years in Sales, Trade Marketing, Category Management or similar (FMCG, Retail or Pet Care is a plus)

  • Hands-on mindset – you’re eager to roll up your sleeves, handle details, and take responsibility

  • Growth potential – strong analytical, communication and organizational skills, showing ambition to step into more senior roles in the future

  • Languages – fluent in Dutch, French and English (business proficiency in all three)

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

  • Manage and grow partnerships with mid-sized Pet Specialty Retail accounts (Aveve, Horta, Poils & Plumes)

  • Take ownership of daily operations: listings, promotions, activations, and visibility in-store & online

  • Support the Senior KAMs on top accounts with data analysis, reporting, and preparation of Joint Business Plans

  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain and field sales to ensure seamless execution

  • Monitor customer performance, track competitor activity and identify new growth opportunities

  • Handle some operational and administrative tasks — an essential part of learning the trade and building a strong commercial foundation
