Royal Canin is on a mission to transform each cat and dog’s health and wellbeing by pushing the limits of nutrition, knowledge, and services in partnership with pet professionals and pet owners. A key pillar of this mission is connecting with the Pet Owner through a Digital and eCommerce ecosystem, where sales are north of $1B in North America. The Digital Capability Manager plays a critical role in identifying and deploying priority Digital and eCommerce capability areas to upskill associates & drive accelerated online sales growth at Royal Canin across Business Units. Focused on growing Royal Canin and Eukanuba brand presence online, this role will assess Digital capability priorities, developing specific strategies and scaling organizationally, and share best practices and consultation with sales teams. Specifically, this role will enable Royal Canin to leap-frog our Digital capabilities by acting as the thought-leader & SME while developing & executing strategies in the following areas: New Online Business Models (like Social Commerce), Subscription/Auto-Ship, Online Price/Pack Architecture, eCommerce Vendor Strategy, Digital Capability & Training Strategy, and support overall eCommerce Strategy development & inputs into AEP/iVCP.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in eCommerce strategy/sales roles.
- Experience in digital / eCommerce capability building & problem-solving.
- Understand core business metrics and how these can be influenced through online merchandising.
- Must be proactive, high energy, action-oriented, and results driven.
- Must be comfortable with providing though-leadership to customers and senior leadership in fast-paced, ever evolving environment, and be comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and personalities.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Develop strategy for exploring, evaluating and launching new online business models, like Social Commerce.
- Own, develop and action a holistic Subscription (“Autoship”) strategy for Royal Canin across customers to define short-term and long-term annual goals, lay out specific actions to drive +5 to 10pt improvement, and share out learnings and best practices across the organization.
- Manage external vendor relationship which includes tracking budget & contract negotiations, submitting tickets for errors, enhancements, and callouts to the service, and reporting/weighting requirements.
- Act as an eCommerce consult/SME to retailers by bringing eCommerce strategies, PDS opportunities, Merchandising Key Belief principles, test & learn opportunities and/or results and best practices.
- Support the Digital COA by acting as project manager with regards to ~25 key workstreams prioritized by the Digital community, which will help us improve digital acumen and capabilities across teams.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders with regards to Digital category insights/research, dComm-specific Pack & Portfolio needs, and synthesize digital test & learns across Business Units.
- Execute training sessions for digital foundations (internal) and help to build out online criteria and key beliefs around moving existing brick and mortar customers to online.
