Job Title: Inventory Coordinator

Shift Length: Days (7am – 4pm | Monday -Friday)

Location: Royal Canin - Rolla, Missouri

Royal Canin is looking for an Inventory Coordinator to join our exciting pet food business at a manufacturing plant in Rolla, Mo. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. Our obsession with detail allows us to deliver precise, effective nutrition and help them become their magnificent best.

This role is responsible for the accuracy of the site’s inventory. Accurate data transmission is imperative to ensure the site can deliver business results. This role is the key contributor to overseeing and leading these actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of inventory & offer/lead improvements
  • Support supervision for any flow & shipping operations within budgeted costs, productivity objectives, and quality standards (supplying, planning, packaging, and warehousing processes)
  • Support Financial Controller in determining and understanding all inventory adjustments and reconciliations
  • Become traceability leader for the flow team
  • Manage non-conformities (decide, put on hold, isolate, destruct, SHNs), analyze for root causes, and undertake corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain requirements for kibble loss and traceability records
  • Manage waste data and Lead the site in NQC savings of at least $100,000/year
  • Manage and enforce all inventory controls as specified per the Internal Governance Standards
  • Perform or process manage inventory of raw ingredients/packaging materials / finished products in bins, silos, and racks (cyclical and period-end inventories) by governance standards
  • Help manage PK/RM Holds (I.E., quality, new launches, SARFs, stickering projects, releases) as required to prevent non-conformities in the production stream
  • Manage and maintain requirements for RM/PKG documentation and traceability records
  • Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rules
  • Any other flow tasks as delegated by the Flow Manager
  • This person will monitor the interfaces to ensure transactions flow through on a daily basis. They will do this by reviewing reception records for accuracy and verifying that those records were accurately recorded via the interface.
  • This position will be RCR’s liaison on North American dry product allocation and inventory management projects.
  • This position will be the key user and own the first level of support for data and inventory control. Additional inventory control responsibilities will include monitoring process conformance, reporting process issues, implementing continuous process improvements, and training site end users. 
  • This position will own the auditing of cycle count adjustments at the site, auditing the inventory accuracy at the site, and ensuring proper inventory accuracy business processes are being followed.  They will serve as the liaison between the materials management function and the finance function at the site with respect to inventory management.
  • This position requires an in-depth understanding of the Inventory Control business processes, the Navision transactions that support the business processes, and the Waste Stream systems that support the business processes. 

Education and Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Most recent performance appraisal with a minimum of "Meets" expectations and is not more than one year old. (Internal Only)
  • No active disciplinary notices.
  • Acceptable attendance (less than five incidents and no discipline above an Initial Warning).
  • Two years of work experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated computer and PC software competency, including MS Office and email.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles
  • Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to plan work daily, work independently, and be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual.
  • Ability to work with a team and effectively interact with other departments.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced Navision, iTrack, and RCLMS skills and a good understanding of how these systems interface.
  • Some weekend and after-hour work will be necessary.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Standing on a concrete floor.
  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
  • Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
