Sanitation Technician

New hires are eligible for a $2,500 Sign on Bonus for this position.
The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly and annual sanitation tasks in compliance with the sites master sanitation schedule. 
The associate will evaluate and maintain the sanitary conditions of the facility in accordance with Quality and Food Safety standards. 
What are we looking for?
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Applicable work history
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 20 ft using lifts.
  • Ability to work in hot temperatures and dusty environments.
  • Comfortable with physical demands of the position for 8 hour shift: Lifting and bending. Standing and walking on concrete surface.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food service environment preferred.
  • Working Knowledge of food safety, GMPs
What will be your key responsibilities?
Support and promote the company’s health and safety program, maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform sanitation activities as defined by Sanitation SOPs.
  • Implementation of MSS, Rapid Clean & ATP swabbing and records.
  • Detailed dry cleaning of large areas and workspaces.
  • Detailed dry cleaning of large pieces of manufacturing equipment.
  • When assigned to a task, complete all duties associated with that assignment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist all areas in maintaining high levels of cleanliness with adherence to site GMP's and PPE’s.
  • Prioritize work daily by identifying pressing issues, through communication and awareness of area.
  • Support non-routine tasks, special projects, testing, and upset events.
  • Accurately document all cleaning activities.
  • Assist the plant to meet or exceed sanitation goals.
  • Assist in assuring adequate sanitation tools, cleaning supplies are available and properly stored.  
  • Understanding of microbiological and pest control as it pertains to a food manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to work with all teams at the site on sanitation, pest control and housekeeping projects.
  • The ability to work in enclosed spaces.
  • Recommend changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization, as needed, to assure that the objectives of sanitation and pest control are met. 
  • Support the sites swabbing program.
  • Other duties and responsibilities throughout the plant as assigned by manager.
