Position:
Grinding Utility Operator
Required Shift:
Must have the ability to work a rotating shift.
The scope of the Grinding Utility Operator is to moved product inside the site, load trailers for shipment, and complete shipment paperwork. Training will be provided.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma / GED
Forklift experience required
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; must be coachable
Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
Ability to act with disciplined initiative
Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
Basic math and recording abilities
Keen eye for detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
1+ years’ experience within manufacturing, technical and/or trade discipline
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Comfortable working with different business systems like SAP, ATMS and Week plan.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.
Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines
Knowledge of inventory control principles
Demonstrated competency in computer and pc software including MS Office and email
Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system
Understands production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Ensuring that Raw materials are available for production lines on time
Communicate potential shortages to relevant stakeholders
Maintains close contact with Operations team to ensure that there are no delays in manufacture
Raise relevant escalations that have an impact on safety, quality and efficiency
