The RCUS Amazon Customer Development Manager serves as the operational point of contact responsible for our Amazon business & acts an operator and executor of the strategy defined by the Sr. Account Manager and Ecommerce Director, while providing progress against defined KPIs.

This operational position will be responsible for delivering against KPIs for Amazon both internally and externally, such as:

  • Leveraging operational data provided by agency and actioning accordingly with customer
  • Executing actions to return items to active and buyable status, reviewing all ticket submissions and actioning, inputting weekly forecast inputs into the Amazon item level forecasting file while working directly with Sales planning and CPFR to manage outcome accordingly,
  • Managing operational component of new item launch coordination and disco coordination
  • Managing and leading Amazon pets customer trainings throughout the year
  • Executing against vine submissions
  • Walk the store weekly to track compliance against variation / content / availability and pricing gaps
  • Managing promotional execution and performance against forecasts
  • Act as the direct contact for the Amazon AVS and host all AVS/operational calls accordingly.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Operational Control & Revenue Growth

  • Ownership of executing the sales plan for Royal Canin Healthy Pet & Vet Diets + Eukanuba on Amazon.com
  • Co-Responsible for forecasting building blocks and key messaging alignment with Sr. Account Manager
  • Collaborates closely with Amazon, the Sr. Account Manager, the Support Agency, Supply, Sales Planning, and Finance to forecast, track, provide weekly sales updates, and execute against the annual plan
  • Provides inputs as needed that will feed into monthly DMR/IRR forecasting cycle, and helps to identify risk & opportunity as needed which will escalate through the Ecommerce Director

Functional + Capabilities

  • Support delivery of annual business targets through operational rigor with the customer – NSV, Earnings, Cash & Share
  • Owns SVS relationships & and receives relevant agency and Sales Lead directives and manages relevant action + follow up

Organization

  • Provide relevant inputs to Sr. Account Manager (pricing, MAP, promotional effectiveness, etc), and Amazon Merchandiser (new/return item launch timelines, content directives, etc.
  • Active contributor to the Amazon team to influence and inform strategy
  • Build strong partnership within Mars Ecosystem identifying synergies and areas of opportunity

What are we looking for?

  • West Coast-based candidates preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in business management in consumer industry leading sales and marketing functions. Ecommerce channel experience preferred.
  • Proven analytical ability to identify insights and turn them into action
  • Strong creative and critical thinker with the ability to recommend and activate unique solutions that support the overall strategy.
  • Exhibits high levels of curiosity, continually seeks to get better, and imagines bold future possibilities.
  • Strong command skills with the ability to present and influence at various levels across the organization both internally and with Amazon
