The RC SSC France Finance Operations team supports the operations of Royal Canin Global Headquarters, two factories, the French market, and Sales to Import markets.
As Finance & Controls Manager – Royal Canin Factories, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity and governance for our two French factories. You will work hand in hand with Plant Managers, Supply Finance Business Partners, and our Global Controllership team to deliver accurate reporting, robust controls, and valuable insights that guide better business decisions.
Your mission: safeguard the accuracy, compliance, and quality of our financial statements while enabling efficiency, transparency, and process excellence. You will be a trusted partner to factory leadership, driving improvements and supporting transformation initiatives that shape the future of Royal Canin’s supply chain.
What are we looking for?
5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling — ideally with exposure to US GAAP and internal controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: you can interpret results, explain business drivers, and highlight risks or opportunities.
Confident communicator with leadership presence — you know how to engage senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Comfortable with ERP systems (Navision, SAP, or equivalent) and digitally savvy, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Adaptable and resilient, thriving in fast-paced and changing environments.
Curious and proactive: you stay up to date with accounting regulations, anticipate trends, and bring forward-looking insights.
What will be your key responsibilities?
1. Ensure Quality of Accounts & Compliance
Act as the guardian of accounting accuracy and financial integrity for Royal Canin factories.
Oversee periodic, quarterly, and annual reporting, including reconciliations and analysis, to deliver actionable business insights.
Lead the quarterly balance sheet review process and ensure high-quality reconciliations in Blackline.
Standardize and manage period-close processes to ensure timely and reliable reporting (HFM submissions).
Act as Subject Matter Expert in supply accounting and costing, driving process optimization and knowledge sharing.
2. Lead Governance & Control (G&C) Agenda
Oversee the financial controls framework and audit testing, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
Partner with Plant Managers, factory teams, and Supply Finance BPs to address control gaps, identify risks, and drive improvements.
Monitor governance KPIs, lead quarterly reviews with factory leadership, and align priorities with global stakeholders.
3. Drive Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Excellence
Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and value creation.
Develop KPIs and drive process improvements to boost efficiency and remove bottlenecks.
Support digital transformation initiatives across finance systems and reporting tools (ERP, Altair, etc.).
Foster a collaborative and engaged team culture, mentoring talent and promoting a trusted control environment.
