Royal Canin, a global leader in Pet health nutrition, is seeking an exceptional Chief Information Officer (CIO) – Europe to lead the digital strategy and transformation agenda for our European region. This senior leadership role will be at the forefront of shaping the future of our business, leveraging technological innovation, AI and automation to deliver exceptional customer experiences and business performance.
This role will be a key member of Royal Canin Global Digital Technologies Leadership Team and Royal Canin European Leadership team and will partner with them closely to enable a high-impact technology roadmap aligned with Royal Canin's ambition and business strategy.
What are we looking for?
15+ years of progressive Digital/IT experience with 5+ years of proven Senior leadership experience in a CIO, CTO, or equivalent role, ideally in a multi-billion dollar Global organization
Track record of delivering digital transformation at scale, including advanced analytics, AI, and automation initiatives
Deep understanding of digital commerce, marketing technologies, ERP ecosystems, and supply chain digitalization
Strong business acumen with the ability to link technology investments directly to organizational performance and customer value
Experience managing large, diverse teams across multiple geographies
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills at C-suite level
Fluent in English; French and other European languages are an advantage
What will be your key responsibilities?
1. Digital Strategy & Transformation Leadership
Lead the formulation and execution of the Royal Canin Europe Digital Strategy in alignment with global priorities and regional business goals.
Drive end-to-end transformation programs, ensuring adoption of cutting-edge digital capabilities across functions and business units.
Champion the AI and automation agenda, identifying opportunities to improve agility, efficiency, and decision-making.
2. Technology Vision & Roadmap Execution
Define and oversee the multi-year IT and digital roadmap for the region, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation.
Bring Royal Canin IT strategy to life and oversee execution of roadmaps in the region through collaboration with business units, Global IT and Delivery teams.
Ensure technology investments deliver measurable ROI through robust governance and performance tracking.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
Act as a strategic copilot and trusted advisor to the Europe Leadership Team, influencing strategic decisions through technology insights.
Foster a culture of collaboration between IT, business units, and Royal Canin’s global digital community.
Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of new technologies and ways of working across the region.
4. Operational Excellence & Governance
Build and lead a high-performing European IT leadership team, enabling them to deliver outstanding service through digital capabilities and innovation.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and Responsible AI standards.
Optimize IT operations, vendor partnerships, and delivery models for maximum efficiency and agility through collaboration with Global Service teams
