Five people engaging in conversation over coffee

You can make a
better world

Location : Aimargues ; Cambrai

Segment : Royal Canin

Type of contract : Permanent

In this newly created position, you’ll partner closely with the business to enable growth, support day-to-day operations, and drive significant change in our budgeting approach. Your mission will be to follow up with budget owners, ensure they have the right tools and processes to manage effectively, and stabilise this new way of working.

You’ll be covering two French factories (Aimargues and Cambrai) – with monthly travel between them – and, over time, potentially expand your scope to another site abroad. This role offers substantial exposure, frequent collaboration with factory leadership teams, and the opportunity to grow into a full finance business partner position.

What are we looking for?

  • You hold a degree in Accounting or Finance and have at least two years of experience in accounting, controlling, or other finance-related roles.

  • You have a solid understanding of financial processes, reporting, and internal controls, and you are able to connect information from different sources to see the bigger picture.

  • You are proficient in Excel, and any experience in process improvement or in developing tools to support budget management will be considered a plus.

  • Holding a CIMA, ACCA, or other relevant certification would be an advantage.

  • You are fluent in both French and English, and you can operate confidently in both languages when working with all levels of the business.

  • You demonstrate a proactive and agile mindset: you actively look for solutions, seek input when needed, and involve others to achieve the best outcome.

  • You are a true team player, able to build trust and work closely with factory leadership teams.

  • You are motivated to grow and develop within the company, with the ambition to progress into a finance business partner role in the future.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Control and report on the P&L and dedicated P&L lines from short-, mid-, and long-term perspectives.

  • Provide performance analysis and planning, including scenario modeling, as well as insight, opportunity identification, and risk evaluation.

  • Contribute to the S&OP+ processes, including period closing (such as accruals), future performance planning, and P&L and cash flow estimation, along with reporting for various forums.

  • Collaborate closely with all functions and departments to ensure delivery of targets.

  • Maintain strong relationships with business and functional managers to review performance, and recommend or coordinate corrective actions where needed.

  • Drive continuous improvement in the supply finance area by acting as a project leader, project team member, or individual contributor to adapt systems and processes to business changes.

  • Enhance current tools and processes, including the development and roll-out of digital solutions.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • At Mars, we believe in a relationship of mutual trust, dignity and respect between our company and Associates that is more meaningful than the standard employer/employee relationship.

  • As Associates, we can expect to be respected, supported and valued as individuals, to be treated fairly and equitably.

  • You will work in a multicultural environment (more than 40 nationalities) and where your dog will be welcomed by more than 100 other Associates’ dogs at the office!
