The Finance Business Partner for Royal Canin International Division plays a key role in providing financial direction, guidance, and constructive challenge to the Sales team/Leadership team on business decisions with financial impact (NSV, EBITDA & Cash). This includes analyzing complex business information, distilling key insights, and developing financial models based on underlying assumptions.
The geographical scope includes 4 hubs : LATAM, MENA, EURASIA & AFRICA (around 80 importers & 3 business units).
Beyond technical expertise, the role acts as a strategic thinking partner—collaborating closely with stakeholders, challenging assumptions, identifying trends, and encouraging innovative perspectives to drive better decision-making. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong drive, and agility to work in a volatile environment.
What are we looking for?
4-7 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably with FMCG and Multinational experience
Background in finance, planning, or data analytics, with the ability to manage complexity
Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
Ability and motivation to stay close to the business and its stakeholders
Strong interpersonal & communication skills with a people-centric mindset
Strong team spirit and Growth Mindset
Knowledge of USGAAP and Navision is valuable
Fluency in English & French is required
Strong Excel skills and experience with PowerBI
What will be your key responsibilities?
Planning. The Finance BP will be highly involved in the Annual Execution Plan (AEP) preparation.
Forecasting. The Finance BP will also perform Forecasts as per an agreed rhythm of performance, supporting the Hub sales manager and the CFO in identifying gaps to objectives and putting in place remediation plans.
A&CP. The finance BP will be the key partner, ensuring Cost Collector owners remain on track with their Budgets and empowering these budget holders to be responsible for their spend. Develop the ROI mindset and drive the investment strategy.
Period close. Under the leadership of the Controllership organization, the finance BP will participate in pre and post-closing activities on a periodical basis.
Pricing and Trade strategy. In close partnership with the Sales and SRM teams, the Finance BP will advise and support the determination of Customer plans and their follow through, ensuring an efficient use of Trade spend is translating into Net Sales growth.
Trade Finance Management. The Sales BP will participate in identified tasks in Trade execution, payments and settlements, Trade finance and Trade analysis.
S&OP+ support. The Finance BP will participate in and act as a key member of the PMR, DMR, SMR, IRR of the Mars S&OP+ framework. Take an active part in S&OP cycles preparation and discussions. Lead discussions to ensure consistency of recurring demand plans in volume and value. Lead process organization and efficiencies.
Governance. Promote and maintain a strong governance culture.
