The Regional Key Account Manager is accountable for delivering business segment objectives and share of customer volume by delivering sales strategic objectives at the lowest possible cost. They are also responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive customer business plans to deliver annual operating plan within trade investment plan.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Category Management for Fast Moving Consumer Good Industries.
  • 3+ years of Account Management experience is required.
  • Experience in the Veterinary or Petcare Industry is preferred.
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Customer Management:

  • Partner with customers to ensure continued growth and optimization of overall customer financials.
  • Manage customer with national presence across Canada.
  • Active involvement to optimize customer service levels and efficiency in order to help minimize total delivered cost.
  • Utilizes available information to capture Mars and competitive sales strategy tracking at the customer level.
  • Actively demonstrate and utilize consultative selling principles to successfully sell business segment programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments to support customer on key initiatives.
  • Negotiate yearly trade and marketing investment.

Category Management:

  • Provide the customer with category information and make recommendations for all business segments, products and promotions.
  • Responsible for continually increasing the use of technology and category management tools (fact based selling) in the analysis and presentation of their business internally and with their customer to achieve all business segment objectives.
  • Provides timely information, category information, retail priorities and sell sheets to the retail sales organization.

Budgets and Business Planning:

  • Provide and present comprehensive tailored customer business plans to deliver all business segment objectives (i.e. volume, trade, etc.)
  • Manages the trade promotion budget at assigned customers in harmony with Mars policies and procedures.
  • Forecasting sales against assigned customers on a regular basis.
