Process/Product Implementation Engineer

The PPI (Process/Product Implementation) will lead the implementation of new: products, processes and packaging equipment and systems in the site, drive improvement in capabilities and capacities through all major changes impacting process, product, and packaging.

What are we looking for?

  • BS in Engineering, Supply, or a Technical field of study, or at least 5 years of equivalent direct experience in manufacturing or a related environment.

  • Advanced problem-solving techniques and 6 sigma methodologies

  • Strong understanding of current factory process in both Making and Packaging

  • Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to transfer procedures and training experiences to other

  • Candidate must be willing to travel to other Royal Canin sites to gain knowledge of the packaging & processing line equipment

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and execute R&D strategies for growth, quality & efficiency by implementing new R&D Innovations on site regarding product, pack, process and packaging equipment/lines

  • Lead lines trials, complete trial reports and provide technical inputs to global R&D industrialization team throughout activity lifecycle for product implementations projects

  • Responsible for the establishment of operational control systems including change management, industrial go, Hand over I, Hand over II, and qualification review for projects regarding product launches on site following industrialization process in QuEST

  • Execute trials in DFVS / CVS for process and product validations of new line / equipment in collaboration with CVS team and Regional Deploy Techno specialist. Share results to complete Hand Over 1 related to techno part

  • Join regional PPI platform with respect to technology, best practice, and knowledge transfer as part of multi-site harmonization measures.

  • Lead the coordination of projects between a cross functional team of people (on site and off site) to step change projects or drive efficiency (Do it Best).

  • Support Safety, Quality CI and Environment in collaboration with Q&FS and HSE service.

  • Participate to investment submission to identify and assess benefits

  • Work on new standards, related to Engineering / Conformance / Food Safety, and define SRC (standard running condition) in affected perimeter

  • Collaborate with Operating and Technical department to validate any standard definition, related to Engineering / Conformance / Food Safety, and to deploy them

  • Support the CI / FI team on KPI analysis to identify key improvement and increase efficiency and capacity.

  • Use their expertise to support the factory operation (through FMOS) and technical teams (through Focused improvements) to solve complex problems, leveraging 6 sigma.

  • Own training module definition to develop and sustain associate’s functional capabilities in particular in-process (grinding, extrusion), packaging and flow area
