The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for recruiting, developing, and leading a team of veterinary business managers to implement company strategy and delivery key business objectives across a geographical sales region.
The RSM is responsible for the achievement of the sales growth targets within the VET-business, to reach all quantitative and qualitative targets with maximum return on investment in a challenging and ever-changing business context. They are responsible for meeting commercial targets while upholding the Mars five principles and vision of Royal Canin within their working practice.
The RSM is instrumental in managing, developing, and motivating through excellent leadership a performance-driven sales team, so that individual as well as team goals can be achieved. This will be responsible for all processes and ways of working within the teams to ensure a lean & efficient methodology as well as a precise forecast of future demands.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Direct line management of Veterinary Business Managers (VBMs)
Leading a sales team in line with strategies and vision of Royal Canin, and living the Mars principles and values
Coach the field sales team to further develop their skills and reach their targets
Ensure good account management and sales principles are upheld
KPIs and undertake performance improvement measures as required
Conduct quarterly and annual appraisal of VBMs in line with PDP and business objectives
Working with Pet Professional team to execute a business strategy through the sales team, to negotiate annual agreements with our clients, to analyze the market environment and customer needs, to control & execute our merchandising strategy, to define sales targets for the field sales teams and to analyze results
Provide all requested reports and information in timely manner
Assist in setting and monitoring KPIs for the VBM team
