As a Senior Financial Controller, you’ll be at the heart of Royal Canin’s financial backbone, ensuring robust consolidation and control processes across 102 units worldwide. This is a high-impact role within our Global Financial Controllership team, designed for a finance expert who thrives on accuracy, risk management, and continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

  • You have 10+ years' experience in finance and accounting, with a strong background in financial controllership and reporting (HFM, OneStream, SAP/Navision).

  • You hold a Master’s in Finance (or equivalent)

  • Experience in audit or change management is a plus.

  • You speak fluent english, french is a plus

  • You understand complex financial data and know how to make it simple.

  • You drive performance, ensure accountability, and thrive in a complex, global, and transforming environment.

  • You know how to align stakeholders, create engagement, and move the roadmap forward with clarity and conviction.

  • You’re humble and hands-on, comfortable challenging senior leaders, but also getting into journal entries when needed.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Lead the monthly and annual closing and consolidation processes for the Royal Canin Group (102 units).

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across all markets.

  • Drive insightful analysis, structured balance sheet reviews, and reinforce financial integrity 

  • Act as the key link between RC units and Mars Inc for financial guidelines and US GAAP updates.

  • Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders to align reporting with business priorities.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks in collaboration with business and finance partners.

  • Ensure compliance with the Mars Financial Manual and external regulations. Govern internal control processes in partnership with the G&C team.

  • Lead audit preparation and implement process improvements following audit recommendations.

Process Optimization & Digital Transformation

  • Continuously improve controlling processes and promote best practices. Support key transformation projects (new markets, ERP upgrades, digital finance).

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and financial excellence.
