Inventory Planner - T1
St. Louis, MO
We are looking for an Inventory Planner who can assess current inventory health alongside business needs around service, cash & cost and translate this into effective inventory replenishment throughout our supply chain network. The Inventory Planner will be able to regularly generate plans and place orders that promote sustainable inventory levels, monitor for and proactively address inventory issues, and be adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the business.
What are we looking for?
Minimum
A Bachelor’s degree AND/OR APICS Certfication
Experience in Supply Chain, including experience with inventory management in a fast-moving consumer goods industry
Excellent time management skills driven by a proactive work ethic
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Logistics and Customer Care
A team player, willing and ready to work with and learn from peers and associates at all levels of the organization
High learning agility and technical confidence to utilize multiple PC data and planning systems
Proficient with Advanced Planning System, ERP System, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred
Experience utilizing SAP and/or OMP planning softwares
What will be your key responsibilities?
Ensure availability and correct inventory health levels at the HUB location(s) and improve inventory health (non performing inventory).
Review existing safety stock levels for HUB planning and adjust with cross functional support
Review weekly plan to analyse stock positioning
Communicate with supply planning on low stock positions to ensure recovery plan is targeted
Communicate inventory levels to relevant stakeholders as needed
Create Transfers and transfer plans to move inventory between HUB locations to balance inventory based on current inventory and forecasts
Update ERP with correct transactional data as needed for inventory accuracy and financial records
Work with sales team and production team on escalations of excess inventory to help minimize obsolete risks
Review New Product Launch inventory and communicate with partners to ensure healthy levels for launch
Collaborate with Activity Management on runout reporting of transitioning SKUs to help decrease risk of supply chain overhead expenses
Own HUB inventory RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to help bring direction into out of stock SKUs that impact the service
Participate in periodic meetings with other stakeholders to share inventory health positions RCA findings
