At our Royal Canin® site in Bruck an der Leitha (just 30 minutes from Vienna), more than 350 dedicated Associates work every day to produce tailored nutrition that supports the health and wellbeing of dogs and cats - in Austria and around the globe.
As Regulatory Trade Manager, you are part of the Europe Regulatory Trade Team and ensure trade facilitation and regulatory compliance at the Royal Canin Bruck factory and with our EU/UK co-manufacturers outside France. You are responsible for supporting portfolio expansion and defining the most effective route-to-market sourcing strategy, making sure products reach markets on time and meet all regulatory requirements.
What are we looking for?
You have an M.S. or equivalent in a technical field such as food science, veterinary medicine, food safety, chemistry, toxicology, nutrition, or another biological science.
You bring 5+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or working with trade associations.
You have solid knowledge of EU Food or Feed law, including feed hygiene, animal by-products, contaminants, and import/export requirements or equivalent experience in a related field.
You are fluent in English and German.
You are experienced in handling comprehensive regulatory documentation and enjoy navigating trade regulations.
You are a problem-solver with strong project management skills, able to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
You are curious, proactive and enjoy turning regulatory challenges into practical solutions.
What will be your key responsibilities?
You act as the main regulatory partner for opening new trade lanes, managing risk assessments and developing recommendations.
You maintain active trade lanes to prevent supply disruptions caused by regulatory issues.
You manage product registrations for third countries and keep the Country Regulatory Specification database up to date.
You act as the key regulatory partner for the Bruck factory and EU/UK co-manufacturers outside France, supporting them on regulatory challenges and projects.
You build and maintain strong relationships with Austrian veterinary authorities and trade associations.
You monitor EU regulatory developments to anticipate changes that could impact our business.
You act as a Europe Regional Subject Matter Expert on contaminants, animal by-products, WOAH-listed and emerging diseases.
