At our Royal Canin® site in Bruck an der Leitha (just 30 minutes from Vienna), more than 350 dedicated Associates work every day to produce tailored nutrition that supports the health and wellbeing of dogs and cats - in Austria and around the globe.
Do you want to lead automation projects that shape the future of our factory? In this role, you take ownership of major automation engineering projects and drive the development and implementation of the Controls Masterplan. You work closely with local teams, global experts and external partners to ensure projects meet legal requirements and Mars engineering standards – while continuously improving our production environment. If you enjoy solving technical challenges, collaborating with high-performing teams, and delivering impactful projects, this role is made for you.
What are we looking for?
- You hold a degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
- You have strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, MES and ERP systems.
- You work independently and have analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You bring solid project management skills and enjoy driving projects forward.
- You thrive in high-performing teams and contribute to a collaborative environment.
- You communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders.
- You speak fluent German and have good English skills, as we operate internationally.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- You lead and deliver major automation engineering projects at site from concept to implementation.
- You ensure projects meet legal requirements and Mars engineering standards.
- You develop and apply global control standards and contribute to the site’s Controls Masterplan.
- You act as the key contact for the Global Technical Engineering & Controls team.
- You lead project team members and external contractors, fostering collaboration and ownership.
- You actively engage your team, encouraging proactive performance and accountability.
- You work closely with all factory departments to ensure seamless project integration.
- You ensure delivery of project objectives in scope, time, budget and cash flow.
- You manage multiple responsibilities, including project execution, functional support, and personal development, continuously growing in your role.
