The financial business partner and value driver for the VET (Veterinary) business — the core pillar of Royal Canin China. This role acts as the embedded financial co‑pilot to the VET leadership team, ensuring profitable growth by translating medical-channel strategy into financial outcomes, optimizing customer/channel economics, and ensuring disciplined investment with sustainable value creation.
1.Business Partnering, Growth Strategy & Investment Governance (40%)
1)Strategic Finance Partner: Partner with VET business leaders to translate business channel & portfolio strategy (clinic/hospital penetration, KOL engagement, portfolio expansion) into robust IVCP and AEP financial plans
2)Investment Governance: Own ROI framework for VET investments, including clinic activation programs, scientific engagement, education/events, and field force deployment
3)Growth Development: Build business cases and financial models for key account /channel expansion (clinics chains), partnership models, and new portfolio / service -led growth initiatives
2.Financial Analytics & Value Driver Management (25%)
1)Customer & Channel Profitability: Analyse profitability by channel, sub-region, and product portfolio; identify value-creating vs. value-dilutive segments
2)Pricing & Trade Management: Support pricing strategy, discount governance, and trade terms tailored to professional channels; monitor price realization and leakage
3)Field Force Effectiveness: Track productivity and ROI of VET sales force (coverage, conversion, visit effectiveness), linking activities to revenue and margin delivery
4)Portfolio & Mix Optimization: Drive analysis on premiumization, therapeutic / health territories vs. channel mix, and lifecycle/value per group of customers and etc.
3.Forecasting & Performance Management: (20%)
1)VET P&L Forecasting: Own driver-based forecasting for VET business (productivity, penetration, prescription trends and etc), ensuring alignment with China FP&A
2)Performance Dialogue: Lead monthly performance reviews with VET leadership, translating performance into actionable insights and forward-looking recommendations
3)KPI System & Tracking: Define and monitor VET-specific KPIs (e.g., clinic activation, repeat purchase, prescription rate, sales per customer groups & etc) via dashboards
4.Business assurance &Cross-functional Leadership: (20%)
1)Trusted Finance Advisor: Act as sparring partner to VET leadership on strategic decisions, investments, and resource allocation
Risk Identification & Management: Monitor risks specific to VET channel (e.g., customer concentration, compliance, channel conflict, credit exposure)
2)Cross-functional Alignment: Ensure strong linkage across Demand, Supply, and Finance (e.g., demand planning, portfolio supply, channel execution)
3)Team Contribution: Support development of finance business partnering capabilities within the VET finance team / broader demand finance community
