Job Description:

The Maintenance engineer is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, availability, and performance across all production and utility systems. The role executes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities while supporting operational excellence, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving OEE, and supporting business growth through reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Mars Safety Standards, GMP, HACCP, and Quality Management Systems.
  • Conduct maintenance activities following LOTO and permit-to-work requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments and safety improvement initiatives.

Equipment Reliability

  • Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
  • Ensure rapid restoration of equipment during production breakdowns.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective actions.

Asset Management

  • Maintain equipment history and maintenance records in CMMS.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Support spare parts management and inventory optimization.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in FMOS and CI initiatives.
  • Drive equipment modifications and productivity improvement projects.
  • Support OEE improvement and downtime reduction activities.

Capability Building

  • Train operators on Autonomous Maintenance standards.
  • Coach production teams on basic troubleshooting and equipment care.
  • Support development of standard work and technical documentation.

Job Specifications/Qualifications

  • BTech/Diploma in Electrical and communication/Instrumentation.
  • Experience 3–5 years hands on maintenance experience in food, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar scale manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with packaging equipment, conveyors, motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and utilities preferred.
  • Ready to work in shifts
