The Site Quality and Food Safety Manager is ensuring product compliance with quality and food safety requirements. Through his/her team the Site Q&FS Manager is identifying opportunities and threats for quality and food safety. The Site Q&FS Manager provides KPIs to make performance results visible at site and regional level. Based on chosen KPI’s, he/she is helping to set priorities for site team. Through internal and external collaboration and benchmarking, he/she is challenging status quo and identifies continuous improvement initiatives. Together with his/her team, he/she is a key driver of change required to reach stretching strategic targets.
What are we looking for?
Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Engineering or Food Science
Master’s and/or other advance degree preferred
At least 10+ years of experience in Q&FS in CPG
A successful line management experience
Functional expertise in quality and food safety including direct experience in deployment of Q&FS systems (HACCP, FSSC, ISO, etc) across both manufacturing.
Fluent in English.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Team Management and Team player:
Build and Manage Local QFS team fostering collaboration inside team and with all other departments of factory
Build development plan for QFS associates and participate to QFS talent pipeline lead at regional and global level, creating vision for succession plan.
Be the voice of Quality and Food Safety on site driving Quality Culture with the Site Management Team.
Be the Site Quality and Food Safety Representative in Regional and Global forums and projects.
Governance and Standards Compliance:
Define, manage and drive Quality and Food safety Strategy on site in collaboration with Site Management Team and Regional QFS Team.
Drive compliance to Mars Quality Standards and external Certifications applied at site level, in identifying gaps, prioritization and deployment.
Ensure factory Q&FS performance establishing relevant KPIs, identifying deviations, preventive and corrective actions plan and providing evidence for escalations for Regional and/or Global Forums.
Regulatory Compliance:
First point of contact for Authorities (Local & Countries of Export) for visits and/or audits.
Drive regulatory compliance for Products and Processes according to Global and Regional regulatory roadmap and R-SMR/R-TLT decision.
Maintain local veterinary agreement documentations
Provide all Quality and Food Safety inputs for Veterinary Health Certificates allowing products exportation.
Continuous Improvement:
Manage End to End Quality and Food Safety non-conformities and incidents based on PRIMP standard, supporting decision making for out of spec materials and products, ensuring that relevant corrective and preventive actions are defined and implemented.
Drive consumer and customer complaints program on site, providing relevant information to consumer and customer services, monitoring trends and defining a preventive and corrective action plan.
Develop and monitor Capital investment plan to improve Q&FS area in co-operation with Site Leadership Team.
Support Site Transformation Plan providing QFS inputs and support during deployment through different processes such as Asset Health Check program, Masterplan definition, Projects Steer Community.
