Europe Regulatory Trade Senior Team Manager (f/m/x)

Royal Canin’s EU factories, RCC, RCA, RNI, and BRK produce 50% of RC global volume of dry and wet products, supplying over 100 markets worldwide. The Europe Regulatory Trade Senior Team Manager is instrumental in ensuring freedom to produce products in the European factory network as well as freedom to export and import. This role leads Manufacturing Sites Sanitary and Regulatory Compliance to the variety of European and Export market regulations, contributing to the Supply resilience within and above the European scale.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Define the European regulatory trade strategy by engaging internal stakeholders and external bodies to ensure compliance with respective regulations.
  • Lead the execution of the EU regulatory trade strategy that supports global business objectives and satisfies European, national, and international regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct European Regulatory Trade Risk Management assessments, prevention, and mitigation efforts, contributing to the global Trade Compliance and Regulatory Change processes.
  • Manage a team of two Associates responsible for technical expertise and compliance across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Develop the European Regulatory Trade Advocacy agenda, representing the company in relevant trade associations and forums.
  • Enable portfolio innovation expansion through guidance on raw material compliance in the EU, UK, and importing markets.
  • Work closely with the Head of Global Regulatory Trade and Mars Petcare EPAC forum to address challenges and recommendations regarding regulatory compliance.

What are we looking for?

  • 8+ years of professional experience gained in Regulatory Trade / International Trade role in food manufacturing company.
  • MA degree or equivalent in a technical area (e.g., veterinary medicine, food science, food safety, chemistry, toxicology, nutrition, or other biological sciences).
  • Deep knowledge across multiple areas of the EU Feed law, particularly feed hygiene, feed marketing, and animal by-products regulation.
  • Excellent understanding of nutrition, scientific information, and regulatory challenges.
  • Proven track record working with trade associations is a must.
  • Strong organizational and people leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English and Polish (a must); French or German is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide strategic solutions.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Framework, International Trade, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Experience in managing teams and developing talent in Regulatory Trade and Affairs.
