The Process and Product Implementation Engineer role is responsible to:
· Lead the implementation of new products and processes on equipment/lines in the factory.
· Drive continuous improvement through all changes impacting the product making process.
· Lead complex solving problems, using advanced problem-solving techniques and 6 sigma methodologies supporting the different pillars in the Mars Supply Excellence program such as FMOS, Focused improvement, and Autonomous Maintenance.
The PPI Engineer also has a role in managing change through the coordination of projects between a cross functional team of people, on a local, regional, and global level.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of food manufacturing experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+years of food manufacturing experience
Physical ability to climb stairs, work in elevated temperature and humidity environments, for extended length shifts on occasion.
40 lb. lifting minimum
Ability to use simple tools to do small mechanical jobs
Self-starter with the ability to lead projects with minimal direction
Demonstrated success influencing/leading others.
Up to 10% travel required
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Engineering.

What are your key responsibilities?
Develop and execute R&D strategies for growth, quality, & efficiency by implementing new R&D innovations on site regarding product, process, and equipment.
Lead lines trials, complete trial reports and provide technical inputs to the global R&D industrialization team throughout activity lifecycle for product implementations projects.
Responsible for the establishment of operational control systems including change management, industrial trials, Handover 1 & 2, and qualification review for projects regarding product launches on site following industrialization process.
Join the regional PPI platform with respect to technology, best practice and knowledge transfer as part of multi-site harmonization measures.
Lead the coordination of projects between a cross functional team of people (on-site and off-site) to step change projects or drive efficiency (Do it Best).
Support Safety, Quality CI and Environment in collaboration with Q&FS and HSE services.
Drive standardization and process improvement.
Work on new standards and define SRC (standard running condition) in affected parameters.
Collaborate with Operating and Technical department to validate any standard definition and to deploy them.
Support the site team on KPI analysis to identify key improvements and increase efficiency and capacity.
Use their expertise to support the factory operation (through FMOS) and technical teams (through Focused improvements) to solve complex problems, leveraging 6 sigma and DAMIC.
Own training module definition to develop and sustain associates’ functional capabilities in grinding and extrusion processes.
Project management.
