As Accounts Payable Team Lead you will be leading a team of 6 Accounts Payable Accountants across the Western Europe cluster (cluster comprises units for BeLux, NL, AT, DE and CH). On top of performing daily accounts payable (AP) operational activities, organizing/managing the work of the AP team, and providing support to the cluster Financial Controller, you will drive efficiencies and collaborate with different demand and supply stakeholders across the cluster.
What are we looking for?
University degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
5 years of Relevant work experience in Finance & Accounting
Additional CIMA or ACCA certificate would be an advantage
Previous experience as a team lead or line manager is a plus
Strong accounting skills incl. knowledge of accounting principles
English fluency, additional languages spoken in the cluster are a plus
What will be your key responsibilities?
1. Performing accounts payable related operational activities, supporting team in daily tasks
2. Ensuring adherence to Mars Finance Manual in owned area of responsibility
3. Performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (incl. Blackline) and engaging in period-end activities within owned area of responsibility
4. Manage the Invoice-2-Pay electronic process and the coordination of other ad-hoc projects
5. Acting as a key user for relevant 1Navision finance area (P2P)
6. Providing data for internal and external auditors with agreed quality and within agreed timeline
7. Acting as a main point of contact for internal customers regarding P2P process providing them financial guideline if needed
8. Analyzing correctness of financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner Clearly communicating periodic, quarterly, and annual financial information to Cluster Financial Controller
9. Driving governance agenda within own functional area, including roll-out and maintenance of Internal Controls Excellence (ICE) framework
10. Acting as a Great Line Manager to the direct reports, including associate development, engagement and 5 principles
11. Driving continuous improvement agenda, including process improvement, development and management of Key Performance Indicators in area of responsibility (e.g., invoices per associates, PO compliance, etc)
12. Ensuring onboarding, education and training of internal stakeholders regarding Purchase to Pay process
