Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing of parts from OEM and/or 3rd party suppliers
- Purchase of parts using Mars purchasing systems: 1NAV, Pcard
- Handle the shipping & receiving of parts.
- Responsible for stocking and managing inventory levels of spares and ordered parts.
- If required handle the return to supplier.
- Manage the disposition of parts that become obsolete.
- Perform daily cycle counts accurately and efficiently in order to maintain Inventory Accuracy and Stockroom Service Level.
- Manage the stockroom inventory levels in accordance with the budget.
- New item setup in eMaint.
- Operate and organize a tidy stockroom.
- Drive continuous improvement in through a site Stockroom Strategy in accordance with MSE (Mars Supply Excellence)
- Review Re-Order report for accuracy of inventory levels.
- Create parts criticality (ABC) process with maintenance & operations teams.
- Report out and manage stockroom KPI’s (inventory turns, inventory value, top 10 consumed parts, min/max quantities, emergency procurements, stockouts
- Partner with and drive kitting process for planned & preventive work.
- Design and optimize the stockroom’s physical layout through 5S principles Visual Workplace
- Understands principles of inventory control.
- Will be expected to become an eMaint (CMMS – computerized maintenance management system) superuser and functional expert for parts purchasing and inventory control.
- Lead the plant PM (Planned Maintenance) function in their respective department specifically the Stockroom DMS.
- As a contributing resource, perform job kitting, staging and delivery to increase maintenance group efficiencies.
- Be able to develop best practices for the area and ensure best practices are followed.
- Be a resource to plant associates in searching for parts/equipment which are stored in the stockroom required for a particular use or machine.
- Utilize computer system to update and maintain item history, vendors and quality information.
- Oversee the stock KPI’s/Metrics and adhere to all workflow process and procedures defined by MSE.
- Be able to coach and mentor a stockroom assistant.
- Performs all assigned activities & job tasks within the area.
- Perform basic storeroom responsibilities
- As a team member, the individual has direct responsibility and accountability for stockroom operations, cycle counts, stock room inventory reduction and part kitting for all planned jobs.

- This is a role with high customer focus. The primary responsibility is to improve efficiency within the Maintenance Department, reduce costs, and reducing downtime through parts availability and management of those assets.

Job Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent; In-house training required. Completion of certification program may be required.
- Some previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lifting 25 lbs.
- Possess basic computer skills, knowledge of simple programs such as Excel and Word.
- Self-Development: Ability to learn additional skills and develop in role with additional responsibilities.
- Applies some advanced skills to the position or specialization.
- Must have strong computer skills with MS Office and ERP systems (i.e. Maximo, SAP, eMaint, 1NAV etc.)
- Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Works under minimal supervision. May assist in orienting and training lower-level employees.
- Consistently perform without supervision, all MRO parts transactions in MANMAN, 1NAV, and AIDC systems in accordance with Mars Manufacturing Best Practices.
- Ability to maintain stockroom security and safeguard inventory accuracy.
- Basic understanding of a parts catalog and their use in locating parts by performing ad hoc queries using the computer.

- Experience setting up a new stockroom or experience redesigning/optimizing an existing stockroom.
- Experience creating stockroom processes.
- Experience using SAP Plant Mx, eMaint, or Maximo.
- Strong computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Has experience in vendor relations.
