This role leads the Internal Control Excellence (ICE) process, ensuring effective design and operation of controls across all areas of the business. Additionally, this role will provide accounting support and ownership of assigned areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet such as overheads, intercompany transactions, and to provide support on tax requests. This role offers an opportunity to gain broad exposure across the company through leadership of the ICE process, while also displaying skills in partnering with the business, deliver insights, and drive financial accountability with the various budget holders in overheads.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead ICE remediation efforts to close any existing control deficiencies. Implement training, perform controls testing, and maintain oversight to others performing testing, and drive consistency and best practices in internal control design.
- Partner with overhead budget holders to manage, track, improve processes, and deliver insights into financial results. Oversee overhead management, develop consistent reporting, and oversee budget forecasting for overheads.
- Partner with Mars Tax and other members of the Nom Nom Finance Team to provide supporting information for tax requests.
- Assist with the implementation of the R25 (theft and fraud reporting) process including leading investigations.
- Prepare and present Balance Sheet Reviews for the quarterly Governance and Control (G&C) review with the global controllership team.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Support the Nom Nom Finance Team in special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or advance certification preferred).
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, governance, or controls, including audits and compliance.
- Public accounting or internal audit experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
- Strong problem solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-driven with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
