The Finance Business partner of Royal Canin France’s Value Creation Models aims at supporting Sales / Marketing directors and their teams in actively driving the business performance, executing the strategy and monitoring its implementation. Responsibilities include actively participating in the timely and accurate development of the Plan and forecast. Working in the petcare dynamic industry means providing actual financial reporting but also insights based on internal and external analysis necessary to manage and optimise business performance in a compliant manner. 

The job also includes transversal finance co-piloting responsibilities for either the Advertising & Consumer Promotion investments across the unit (resource allocation/prioritization, ROI analysis and controllership) or the local Supply Chain.

What are we looking for?

Education & Professional Qualification

  • MBA or University degree in Business or equivalent level of industry experience

  • 3+ years of Financial, Planning and Analysis experience in consumer packaged goods environment or other applicable industry

  • Fluent in English - French is a must

Knowledge/Experience

  • Strong analytical capabilities

  • Advanced excel and financial systems skills including Microsoft Office / Power BI

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines/execute in a fast pace and changing environment

  • Must be autonomous and proactive

What will be your key responsibilities?

An important part of the role will be to provide actionable business insights into S&OP+, period close, and relevant business reviews.

Responsibilities include strategic and financial partnership in the development of the Annual Execution Plan, and oversight for P&L management with the Pillar heads for current and future years.  This includes leveraging the S&OP+ process to navigate year end landing scenarios, and piloting of specific analyses to guide overall business performance.

Business performance :

  • Challenge and support Sales & Marketing Directors to ensure pillar performance and forecast accuracy

  • Build or leverage existing tools to create effective performance monitoring and review performance for relevant budgets or P&L's, ensure that stakeholders and budget owners are taking responsibility for their performance and that they understand the performance drivers

  • Support and own the development of key financial analysis processes for the team such as pricing modeling, revenue management, ROI analysis, key account strategy and customer profitability

  • Create, maintain, and make recommendations related to product/channel/customer profitability based on internal and external data

  • Transforms financial information into business intelligence through analysis and integration of quantitative and qualitative information

  • Provide relevant insights for efficient decision making and challenge to stakeholders on where performance can be improved

  • Benchmark our performance vs peers and competitors to better identify opportunities

Others :

  • Support on transformation initiatives and business roadmap

  • Work closely with the broader finance team to support key initiatives and improve reporting, controls, and governance

  • Participates in system implementations, BI tool upgrades and continuous improvement on processes/procedures to drive efficiencies and solid internal controls.

  • BI key user : Support to all RC France Business Intelligence application users

S&OP+ : Active participation in the S&OP+ steps by bringing support to operational teams, the sales planner and the S&OP+ manager while challenging status quo.

Annual Execution Plan : Actively participates in the preparation and analysis of the annual Plan. Analyze trends (internal and external) and work with business leaders to gather and consolidate assumptions. Manage Plan delivery throughout the year through reviews with the leadership team members.

Periodic closing : Responsible for the compilation and accuracy of the financial and operational reporting. Preparation of management reporting package to provide analysis and insights on performance in line with objectives.
