To achieve its ambition to be the reference in pet health through nutrition, Royal Canin wants to continue to push the barriers of nutrition and individualization. The Enterprise Strategy Operationalization (ESO) Team is a newly created team which will be agnostic to drive an enterprise view and be focused on orchestrating the delivery of our strategy. Bringing together S&OP+, Project/Program Management and Graphics into one dedicated team which drives cross functional WOW.
To enable the creation of the new functional ESO team and a Center of Excellence (CoE), it will be critical to develop the right processes, systems, and tools to enable governance, efficiency and effectiveness across the Portfolio of Programs.It will also be critical that the CoE builds the necessary competence frameworks, career pathways and development programs to enable continual development of the ESO associates.This role will be the key PMO for enabling this.
What are we looking for?
Higher Education Qualification or relevant Experience
Formal qualification in project management (preferable).
+10 years of project/ program management
Experience in Stakeholder relationship building
Functional experience of project/program management
Structured ways of working
High level of pro-activeness and willingness to take responsibility
Very Good communication capability
Fluent in English (written & spoken)
Good knowledge of MS 365 tools
Digital savvy
What will be your key responsibilities?
This role, PMO (program manager officer) will be creating:
Methodology & Framework Design: Create enterprise-wide standardization and best practices. Establishing standardized methodologies, tools, and processes across all PgMs (program managers) is a primary responsibility. This includes implementing consistent project management frameworks, templates, and reporting structures, enabling uniformity in execution and facilitating a cohesive approach across the organization.
Reporting & Performance Management:
Inter-PgMs Coordination and Dependency Management: The PMO coordinates activities across PgMs to manage interdependencies and address cross-functional issues. This involves identifying and resolving conflicts, tracking critical paths across multiple projects, and ensuring that projects work in harmony to avoid duplication and resource conflicts.
Enterprise-Level Risk and Performance Management: At an enterprise level, the PMO monitors program and project risks, escalations, and performance metrics. It provides risk mitigation support, establishes escalation procedures, and tracks KPIs across PgMs. Through this oversight, it identifies trends, consolidates data, and addresses risks that may impact organizational goals.
Tools & Technology:
harmonize and lead the creation of harmonized tools that will enable governance, knowledge management and best practices in PPP management including dashboards, templates and process automation
Act as key user of Promapp and NOVA
Capability & Enablement:
ESO Competence Framework and Career Path mapping:
Identify and articulate the essential skills, behaviors, and knowledge areas required for different project management roles. Establish clear, progressive skill levels to support career development and align with organizational needs.
Design Career Progression and Pathways: Create structured career paths that outline growth opportunities, from entry-level to advanced roles, ensuring pathways are transparent and inclusive of specialized and leadership tracks.
Establish Training and Assessment Mechanisms: Develop training programs, certifications, and assessment tools to support skill development, monitor competence growth, and ensure consistent standards for evaluating and promoting talent.
Coaching teams on ways of working
Governance & Quality Assurance:
Create and coordinate communities of process owners and business owners to ensure process documentation stays relevant, KPIs are tracked, and PICs are followed through
Act as process owner for the Plan to Govern process
Create and coordinate a community of governance forum facilitators to ensure forums are managed with the right quality
Creation of Control Tower to ensure visibility through dashboards and KPI tracking to GLT and MBR across the enterprise program
Organizational Change & Communication:
Ensure promoted tools, processes and methodologies are adopted
Ensure training of new tools, processes and methodologies
Ensure communication to the PgMs and relevant stakeholders
