5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
3 years of managerial experience with a demonstrated ability and desire to work with people, both individually as well as in teams.
Knowledge of manufacturing procedures to include but not limited to receiving commodities, all aspects of processing, packaging, and warehouse operations. Successful candidate will possess an excellent working knowledge of all production equipment, site layout, sanitation tool use and preventive maintenance.
Broad understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with individuals at all levels and functions.
Preferred qualifications:
6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
4+ years of managerial experience with a demonstrated ability and desire to work with people, both individually as well as in teams
What will be your key responsibilities?
Manage the efforts of the sanitation team that supports efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary manner within the product design specifications.
Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization, as needed, to assure that the objectives of sanitation and pest control are met.
Maintain a high performing team environment, able to resolve associate relations issues. Responsible for hiring, training, retraining, developing and motivating the Sanitation associates. Create a self-managed team that is able to work with a minimum degree of guidance
With the general guidance of the Quality & Food Safety Manager, establish area performance standards and goals, and measure, control, take corrective action and report results as appropriate.
Utilize the technical resources on shift for the preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of equipment problems, with the objective of effectively using these resources to achieve desired performance levels.
Ensure proper documentation of all sanitation programs is complete and accurate.
