Oversees and manages overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of organization's supply chain. Collaborate with multiple-functional managers to plan and execute on the development of a distribution center operational process to enable seamless transfers. Manages and monitors vendor's qualification and performance to ensure they meet company's requirements.

Coordinates warehousing, distribution, financial forecasting services and activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service and safety. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related studies.

  • Advanced degree highly preferred

  • Advanced English

  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification – preferred

  • 5 years materials function experience

  • 5 years in at least one of the following disciplines: inventory management, demand management, distribution, warehouse management

  • 5 years budget development & management experience preferred

  • 2 years managing people

  • Experience with planning, developing & implementing inventory management systems

  • WMS / ERP systems

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Establishes metrics to assess factors such as quality, cost and delivery performance.

  • To enforce standards to deliver agreed level of performance

  • Collaborate with members of the supply chain to find ways of improving efficiency and reducing costs

  • Design and implement supply chains strategies that support environmental policies

  • Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.

  • Deploys the development of the logistics strategy for the Mexican Market

  • Deploys logistics footprint development, regional route to market, logistics cost and service optimization

  • Ensuring logistics performance meets the requirements of SLAs in the Mexican markets and all customer types.  Effectively manage each unique requirement

  • Manage and achieve targeted cost and service KPIs and objectives for the transportation, distribution, and order management functions.

  • Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.

  • Create standard operating procedures within our supply chain for departmental and distribution processes.

  • Building customer loyalty through timely and accurate delivery of order.

  • Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.

  • Insure and improve the order to cash cycle through effective management of the Customer Call Center activities.

  • Create standard operating procedures within our supply chain for departmental and distribution processes.

  • Building customer loyalty through timely and accurate delivery of order.

  • Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.

  • Orchestrate and implement improvements to Business Operations (Do It Best)

  • Ensure LLC improvement

  • Ensures Mars Safety guidelines are met in the warehouses that Royal Canin brands are present

  • Ensure compliance of procedures for Hygiene and Food Safety

  • Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.

  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.

  • Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss forecasts or changes

  • Development of team and talent pipeline

  • Manages the activities of the team

  • Responsible for staffing decisions

  • Training, development and performance management for direct reports.
